The Team Registry · Community League

Your city has
a team.

Every affiliated academy fields the official team for its city: one name, one crest, one line in the standings. If you train at the academy, you are on the team. This is the Federation's registry of those teams, and the map of which states have claimed their Founding Team.

§01What a City Team Is

One city.
One team.

A City Team is the official team for an academy's city. Each city has one team, with its own name, its own colors, and its own crest, the team's badge, like a shield with the team's symbol on it.

You don't sign up for a City Team. If you train at an affiliated academy, you are on its City Team automatically. Every match you win at a league event earns points for your city, and the season standings show which city's team is on top, just like a home team in any other sport.

Club Teams: A Different Thing

Want to build your own squad with friends and enter team events at tournaments? That's a Club Team, created and managed by you on Saber Circuit, separate from your city's official team.

§02Two Tiers, Never Blurred

Where teams compete, and where titles are won.

TIER · COMMUNITY (STX)

The Community League

Where City Teams live. League-night and community competition with electronic vest scoring backed by Century Martial Arts: team points, season standings, and the city-versus-city rivalry that makes the sport a hometown sport.

TIER · LSMAF SANCTIONED

Sanctioned Competition

The Federation's title tier: individual competition under the Competition Rulebook, certified judges and referees, and results that enter the permanent national record. National Rankings publish the two tiers separately. A league night and a national title never blur.

§03The Founding Map

The first team in each state is its Founding Team. Permanently.

The first team registered whose home academy sits in a given U.S. state carries the designation Founding Team of that state, a permanent, historical entry in the Federation record. On the Founding Map, a claimed state shows its team's crest. An open state reads unclaimed.

Registry Note

The Founding Map is a visualization of the Federation's Team Registry, a record, not an offer. The Founding Team designation is honorific and historical; an open state is not an offer of territory, exclusivity, or license terms.

§04For Academies

Field the team for your city.

Every team on the registry is fielded by an affiliated academy. When an academy affiliates and registers its team, the Federation records the team's name, colors, and crest in the official Team Registry, and if it is the first team in its state, the Founding Team designation is entered with it.

Affiliation and team-registration conversations start with the Federation office.

The Founding Register · Being Written Now

The map fills one state at a time.

Founding Team designations are permanent entries in the Federation record. Each state's is written once, by the first academy to field its team.
